Much of what is said in this video may sound counterintuitive to a Nigerian whose mind has been conditioned, for decades, to believe that corruption is the country's biggest problem. If you are not an Obidient, this is especially for you. Take a moment to reflect on it. And do not leave with the idea that the argument is "corruption is not a major problem." That conclusion only comes to those who attack what they assumed was said before hearing what was actually said. You can watch the full conversation here: As usual, the Obidients are in the comments, wielding the only weapon in their toolbox: insults. h/t MIC ON PODCAST

When you hear them talking about selling one US dollar for N500 or even less, this is what they mean. For decades, the rich, the powerful and the privileged accessed subsidised dollars to the detriment of Nigeria’s poor. For some, the government funded their entire lives. For others, it paid for four trips a year, flights and accommodation. Nigeria’s poor funded all of it. It took the boldness of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to end it. FX arbitrage is not just a technical term. It was a legal mechanism for the government to pick winners and losers. Many privileged people lost. The poor were guaranteed to lose under this old arrangement. Thank God it is now over. Never again! h/t MIC ON PODCAST

When I heard Senator Kevin Cramer say, "The Christians in Nigeria today are probably feeling pretty good about Donald Trump's position", I decided I had to let him understand a few things. The Halifax International Security Forum's audience certainly enjoyed this one.

This is what Peter Obi has always been about: ethnic baiting, bigotry and division. Anyone who watched him govern Anambra is not surprised by this video from one of his surrogates. He played this game then. He is playing it now. (Google ‘Governor Peter Obi Catholic versus Anglican in Anambra.’ There is a plethora of reliable reports on this). He gave the 2023 election its ethnic hue when he read out a fake WhatsApp message painting Yoruba people as conspirators. The evidence is attached, for those who had to forget. He gave it its religious hue in that leaked "Yes Daddy! Yes Daddy!" call, begging the church to turn the pulpit into a campaign office. He claimed he was going to sue those who leaked it. It’s been four years, nothing has happened. Then he told Nigerians abroad to stop sending money home to their families. Again, there is a video, despite more attempts at cover up and lies. Now his campaign has come for the Yoruba people directly, again. Millions of Yoruba people voted for Peter Obi. They queued under the sun for him. Their reward? To be lumped together and insulted as one people, in the desperate hunt for votes. This is not a slip. It is a script. Design. Intentional. What you heard in this video from Peter is what they say in their meetings with Peter. Tomorrow some people will ask, "How did we get here?" Today they will pretend this video does not exist.

The first half of this prophecy has been fulfilled. Can you state what that was? We await the second half in January. However emotional you get when people who understand complex systems speak, your emotions cannot outrun cause and effect. Rational contributions are welcome. Obidients can contribute using their own unwholesome method too. Previously on chat with SeunOkin Channels tv. Lol.

I spent 10 days on the Mambilla Plateau — a vast, breathtaking landscape that can rival any plain in the world. One of the most beautiful topographies on earth. That experience was worth every moment. Certainly one of Nigeria's best kept secrets, one that ought not to be. The turbaning ceremony of the inimitable Abu Rayyan as the Madakin Mambilla made the visit historic in its own right. The Making of the Madaki offers a vignette of the man, his essence, and a culture that continues to hold its own in the 21st century.

After years of Obidients attacking Pastor E.A. Adeboye and the RCCG, with elections almost here, he will not simply tell his supporters to stop. Instead, he is here suggesting the madness started from Lagos. If by now you can’t see through this gimmick, it’s no longer your fault, you were born this way. Note too the framing that the unwholesome behaviour is being carried out by some generic group of Nigerians, when it could not be clearer that these are solely his supporters. This is the same person who helped put a target on Professor Wole Soyinka’s back and has refused to tell those same supporters to stop attacking him. And who can forget the one and only candidate to deploy a divisive tactic in the last election? It is on video. That’s before you add the “Yes Daddy! Yes Daddy! Talk to your people” phone call that to this day no one got sued for. Because the call indeed happened, despite the desperate denial.

I was the only African representation during this Taipei Forum. I also realised Nigeria had not been in the conversation whatsoever, and this was the closing session. So, I thought, what would a younger Nuhu Ribadu do? What corncept would my President Bola Ahmed Tinubu have me add to my introduction of the Vice President of Taiwan, Hsiao Bi-khim, whilst maintaining focus on her? Easy. I just had to let it be known, as usual, "...from Nigeria." I'd have called myself Ikenna Oguguo, Uba Sani, Abu Jimoh, Jide Jacobs, Musa Usman, Olumide Soyombo or even Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones... I just needed it to be known, this brother? He from NIGERIA. Correct me if I am right!

I enjoyed a beautiful afternoon drive in Lagos yesterday. I am obsessed with infrastructure. Given the chance, I would draw on every available source, PPP, debt, concession, all of it, just to build and keep building. My belief is simple. What you can build today, do not kick into the future. In 2008, Californians voted for a high-speed rail line costed at $33 billion. Eighteen years later, the authority's 2026 business plan puts it at $126.3 billion, full service is now targeted at 2040, and not one kilometre of track has been laid. In that time, China has built a similar one and moved on! You can never have too much infrastructure. We do not have anywhere near enough of it. Driving that stretch of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway down to Ibeju-Lekki, where traffic was diverted through a place called Amode before coming out at Sangotedo on the other side, felt genuinely good. And to think this is going to run all the way to Cross River State. Even within Lagos, I could see it yesterday. The 47 kilometres already in operation have changed that entire end of the state, the whole coastal corridor, and almost certainly well beyond it. Imagine what it does beyond Lagos. Nigeria must do everything it can to keep building. Those who oppose that commitment either do not understand what it takes to advance a country or they are not interested in seeing it advance. PS: The journey was so fast that I drove past places I knew while still thinking they were ahead of me. The Craneburg work at the other end on Lekki-Epe kept the traffic moving too. Development is sweet. Like removing that subsidy, this is a place where we need common-sense consensus. To build, and to stay building.

On his birthday, he wasn’t even celebrating, but I flew to Abuja that evening to see Vodi, because he was traveling the same day. He knew I was flying back to Lagos at 7:30 the next morning, to return the same day. When he saw me, he said, “Anybody wey JJ like, he no dey take them play. Jay-Z, Messi, thank God say Seyi Vodi dey there.” Everyone cracked up. I did too. But it isn’t a joke. If I am with you, I am with you, fully. And if I ever stop rocking with you, nothing you say will make me acknowledge your existence.

This is not a school. 1 section of Vodi tailors. These are just the ones at Fashion House.
