Kyle Shanahan had Brock Purdy stressed before Australia: “Going up to Brock in the middle of Australia, I was like hey all that stuff that I asked you to work with Mike, are you there yet? Are you good? I did that jokingly because I knew Mike hadn’t had any reps in like two weeks. Brock got all stressed, he was like I haven’t got to it yet! I was like I’m just joking dude.” 💀 What a QB / Coach duo

Malik Mustapha delivered a big time hit to JSN on the final drive to rattle him up! Definitely think he had those hits on his mind before his costly drop. The Niners defensive is incredibly punishing and their physicality may not have a match this season.

Kyle Shanahan was asked if he sees any similarities between Brock Purdy and Matt Ryan: “They’re very similar in just how good they are in executing everything…They know how to get rid of the ball, they know how to make plays. Those guys both do that at such a high level. Different styles, built differently. Brock’s a little bit more mobile. Matt is a little bit taller, a little bit leaner. But two very good quarterbacks.”
