Joel Embiid with an extended answer on finding his role within the new-look Sixers. “For me it’s a little bit of an adjustment. I'm such a rhythm guy, and over the years, obviously, I've had a lot of opportunities to just touch the ball. You know, almost every every other possession, and now sometimes you can just go four or five possessions in a row where you don't touch the ball. It’s kind of like an adjustment where I'm not used to catch and shoot as much, I'm used to more creating for myself. So I'm working on that. But I think my mindset is really on whenever I have the ball, make plays you know make the game easy for all these guys, making the right play over and over, setting screens, getting Tyrese as open as much as possible. For all these guys, just kind of being a hub, try to get these guys open and make plays for themselves. That’s really what the focus is on.” Full answer:

Paul George with a professional answer on his role. "Joel, Tyrese are our two engines. Those guys are going to, rightfully so, demand attention. Demand the ball in moments to score and I gotta fit in...More than anything, defensively I know I can still be elite."

VJ Edgecombe: "Coming into next year a team won't ever leave me open." "In the regular season I was shooting the ball pretty well. Playoffs come it's a different vibe. Intensity, fire, closeouts are a lot quicker...I'm gonna work, I'm gonna work. That's all I'm gonna do, whatever I gotta do to get better."

.Kyle Neubeck asked Embiid if Maxey's great play has added any extra urgency. "I do feel bad. Obviously the minutes that he has to play, the load that he has to handle. I've been there. I know how it feels. You just gotta trust in what you're doing, and in God, and be okay with the fact that whatever happens, happens."

Jaylen Brown: "Tyrese has been a great communicator. He's been leading with his voice early on. He's gone out of his way to make sure that I feel comfortable in the system." "For him to be trying to make sure I feel welcome, I appreciate it...He's been the most vocal. He's been the one making sure everybody is accommodated."

Tyrese Maxey: "The trade deadline was difficult. It's life, but we've moved on from it. That's something that we have to put in the rearview mirror." "I don't think we're dwelling on it. Jared was a close friend of ours, a great teammate, a great person. So I definitely think we miss him, of course. I ain't gonna lie and say I don't miss Jared."
