I'm sorry, I try not to be a downer on players, but this game has been an indictment of Angel Reese's development as a player. She's already caught CC in the neck going for a rebound, to the point CC was talking to the refs about it. Offensively, the bigger issue is the same one we've talked about. She's getting wide open looks at the rim and either missing them or getting them blocked. And watch her drives. She constantly throws out that patented elbow/hook to create space. She does it ALL the time, which is especially frustrating when players like AB get maligned for throwing elbows. Angel is an elite rebounder. That's undeniable. But at some point there has to be more development around that skill. Finishing, touch, counters, footwork, decision making. Right now, the gap between her rebounding and the rest of her offensive game is glaring.

Because apparently people still have NO IDEA how good Caitlin Clark actually is. 😭 Last 10: Clark: 26.3 PTS | 9.4 AST | 68.9 TS% Miles: 21.8 PTS | 6.8 AST | 61.2 TS% AST%: 42.8% vs 29.6% Rim AST/G: 4.6 vs 2.6 Miles has the edge in rebounding and taking care of the ball. But Clark is scoring 4.5 more PPG while being nearly 8 percentage points more efficient, generating 2.6 more assists per game, assisting on a dramatically larger share of her teammates' baskets, AND creating nearly 2 more shots at the rim per game. That's the real gap. Clark isn't just scoring more. She isn't just passing more. She's carrying a larger offensive load while creating more and better scoring opportunities for herself and everyone around her. Olivia Miles is having an incredible rookie season. Caitlin Clark is playing at another level that I think a lot fans are not truly grasping.
