A group of Israeli settlers attacked a Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) ambulance while it was transporting a patient from the Tel Rumeida area. Targeting medical teams and obstructing their humanitarian work is a flagrant violation of International Humanitarian Law.

⏺️Audio recording of the moment gunfire was directed at 15-year-old Layan Hamadeh while she was speaking on the phone with the Palestine Red Crescent team. 💔Layan was killed, and 6-year-old Hind remained trapped inside the car surrounded by the occupation tanks and soldiers. 🚑Our ambulance team went to rescue her yesterday evening, but they have not returned as of now. ⚠️We lost contact with them about 18 hours ago, and we still remain unaware of their fate and whether they succeeded in evacuating her or not. #NotATarget❌ #IHL #HumanRightsViolations #Gaza

A new audio recording of the child Hind documents the moments of horror she experienced while trapped alone amidst the Israeli tanks and the dead bodies of her relatives who were killed by Israeli soldiers around her. With great sadness and sorrow, today we bid farewell to our colleague Mohammed Al-Omari, who was tragically killed yesterday after being targeted by the Israeli occupation snipers while performing his humanitarian duty in evacuating the wounded from #Gaza hospitals in a coordinated humanitarian mission. 💔Mohammed left behind his loved ones, including three children, aged 8, 12, and 14. ⭕Mohammed embodied the values of humanity with his boundless dedication, having volunteered for years in the PRCS before joining the ambulance team. “Oh God, I didn’t recognize her. Oh God, Mom, no, I didn’t recognize you. Oh God, Mom, my beloved. My God, I can’t bear this. My father, my brothers, and now you—by God, I can’t bear it. I swear I can’t bear this. Am I never going to see you again?!” 💔These were the words of Palestine Red Crescent volunteer medic Abdulaziz Al-Bardini as he broke down in tears upon discovering that his mother was among the victims of the attack on Al-Maghazi camp in Deir al-Balah, central #Gaza. While Abdulaziz was focused on stopping the bleeding of a critically injured child inside the ambulance, his colleague was tending to a woman wrapped in a white blanket. When they reached the hospital and transferred her to the intensive care unit, the doctors informed them that she had passed away. Abdulaziz lifted the cover from her face, only to be shocked to find it was his #mother. ⭕️The pain and heartbreak endured by our EMTs and volunteers are beyond words. Despite losing loved ones and family members, they remain steadfast in their commitment to #humanitarian duty.
