🚨During COVID, Florida held the line. Governor DeSantis, Dr. Joseph Ladapo, and I worked together to keep Florida free. We opposed many of the federal public health policies promoted during the pandemic and pursued a different approach for the state. When elected Governor, I will ask Dr. Ladapo to continue serving as Florida's Surgeon General. Byron Donalds has said he would evaluate whether to retain him (and we know what that means), while David Jolly has bragged he would fire him. In my administration, Dr. Ladapo will continue to follow the science and not the groupthink that characterized the COVID era.

Instead, he was calling abortion a “medical procedure” while we were doing the work to defeat one of the most dangerous pro-abortion measures Florida has ever seen.
