Karlsson: "Obviously, I'm on the road trip not to be a mascot, but I'm hoping that I get to come back and play here soon." Colby Armstrong: "Best-looking mascot in the league!" Karlsson: "Highest paid, too!" 😂

Every time Geno looks in my direction: “You’re crazy!”

Sergei Murashov got a toy Olaf from a Kinder Surprise Egg when he was young, and the snowman accompanies him everywhere. The goalie also drew a tiny Olaf on his pads: "It’s like a small part of my soul, outside on my gear. It's just reminding me to go in and play with a smile."

Video of the Penguins Elite crew's reaction! Director of Girls Hockey Shaun Suisham: "We are so proud of our girls, and they just lit a fire in the belly of so many of these young hockey players to go out and chase it. And that’s really special." More:

After rejoining the Penguins following the death of his father, Andrei Kuzmenko graciously offered a statement about what he's been going through and the support his family has received. Here's what he had to say.

Sidney Crosby said starting a new season never gets old. "I just love going out there and learning and trying to get better and being a part of a team like this." Does any part wear on him? "I can think of one thing...😂" Sorry, Sid 🥲 we appreciate you talking to us every day!

Enjoy this video of Geno being Geno 🤣

Had to ask Sid about Geno being back 💛

A few quick thoughts from Nick Hart and I after Pittsburgh’s shootout win over Columbus to open the Prospect Tournament. (Don’t worry, we didn’t miss the bus 😆)

Asked Malkin about Crosby passing Lemieux, he said some nice things, then quipped: "I'm behind him, you know? Like, I'm still here, and he's feeling it! (It’s) why he played good, because he wants to be number one, for sure." It's so good to have Geno back 😂

Kyle Dubas told the Penguins front office that nothing would make him happier than a busload of staff bonding on their way to Wheeling to support the Nailers. We ended up having two buses make the trip, with Dan Muse along for the ride. Read more:

Evgeni Malkin took the Russian-speaking Penguins to dinner on Saturday in Vancouver. I asked Ilya Solovyov what it’s like getting to know Geno: "It’s perfect. He’s like our father here [laughs]. Try to teach us everything."

Q: "If it's possible, if you feel good, would you like to play more than just this year?" Malkin: "More? What do you mean? 25 minutes? [Laughs] You mean years or game?" Never change, Geno 😂

Crosby, on the emotion: "I love that group. I love playing. I love the experiences and the memories I've had. That's how it comes out. You don't see those moments all the time... when you see them, they tend to hit you a little harder the older you get." Reflections from 87 ⬇️

Bryan Rust hosted his Pittsburgh Penguins teammates to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers. Asked if he got any tips from Sidney Crosby, who has guys over for Thanksgiving and the Super Bowl. Rust: “I've learned what not to do!" Crosby: “I would love to hear what that is 😂" More:

Alex Ovechkin, on Sidney Crosby: "When we came into the league... it was a different system, different style of game. Two decades, we kind of transform ourselves to stay at the same level, and show that yeah, we're pretty good players [laughs]." More from Ovi on Sid and Geno ⬇️

Vasily Ponomarev, on his Ray-Ban Meta glasses: "I bought them because my parents are always asking me to make some videos (on) how everything looks like in the U.S. These glasses help me to just enjoy nature, walking outside, and at the same time, making videos to my parents."

Evgeni Malkin: "Love our fans. Always amazing to play at home. Thanks to all the fans... Steelers play Monday. People love sports here. Good luck to Steelers, too, as well." 💛🖤

Asked Chinakhov if he would save the goal puck for his daughter. "Oh, of course. I need the (signature) from Geno." (Malkin got the only assist). New dad interview ⬇️

Fleury, on tonight: "A little surreal, a little crazy. But still also comfortable, it felt like... Every time I played here with other teams, I always felt a little bit weird. This time, it felt normal, like it used to." Full interview with 🌸:
