Santa Monica, California | Renowned opera singer Jubilant Sykes was fatally stabbed at his home last night. Police responded to a call & found the classical music icon in critical condition & was later pronounced dead at the scene. The baritone’s 31-yr-old son Micah was found inside the home at the time & was taken into custody for homicide. The case will be presented to the Los Angele County District Attorney's Office for filing consideration. During his illustrious career, Jubilant performed at iconic venues across the country, including Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl & Kennedy Center. The loss is personal to me because I attended a master class taught by him years ago which, to this day, left an indelible impression on me. Cape Coral, Florida| A non-unanimous jury has recommended a death sentence against 30 yr old Wade Wilson for murdering 2 women. This will be the 1st capital case in America in which a new law allows for a death verdict where only 8 out of 12 jurors vote in favor of death. Absent a reversal by the nation’s high court, he will be executed based on a watered down majority vote. Lethal injection will be administered unless the condemned inmate chooses electrocution. He will either face Florida’s 3-legged electric chair, nicknamed “Old Sparky” or a picc line carrying a cocktail of lethal drugs.
