The unelected Prime Minister Rishi Sunak hosting the self-proclaimed “leader” of the Hindu community in the U.K. Trupti Patel, president of the Hindu Forum of Britain (standing next to Akshatha Murthy): a woman who brazenly calls for political divisiveness and platforms an absconder, Nithyananda, accused of murder, rape, child abuse and extortion in India. Doesn’t UK Prime Minister do any sort of vetting or did Ameet Jogia MBE not find it necessary to make the PM aware of his close aid and family friend Trupti Patel before arranging this meeting? This is the “vicious circle”. People like Trupti Patel are provided “validation” by those in power – from the PM’s office to the India in the UK High Commission - because they are assumed to have power over “vote banks”.
