Hay all! 👋 I know I've been quiet for a bit, but most of that time has been spent turning SOE into a proper C++ project. Not just a few C++ functions with Blueprints on top — I mean *full* C++ 😅 It's been a huge learning experience, but the optimization gains have been wild and I'm happier than ever with how combat and movement feel. Also, Mandy is still the main character! Rogue here is just my little debugger helper. That's why he uses ice powers... to freeze the bugs ❄️🐛 ...there's a joke there, I swear. Going to try posting more often again. Really want to give this demo release the best chance possible ✨ #GameDev #UnrealEngine #IndieDev #C++ #ActionPlatformer

hay hay! today’s update is boring-but-important stuff: getting level switching working 😂 not super exciting yet, but the new save file system is pretty cool, gems stay collected if you grab them! hub world still looks like nothing right now lol but it’ll get there ✨(but not too crazy with this set up... might use one of those tricks up my sleeve). and shoutout to Eager Passion for lending her lovely voice to Mandy too! #GameDev #IndieDev #UnrealEngine

soooo I was building a level with my new assets and feeling real proud of how it looked 👀💫 then boom—whoops—messed up the scale and now Mandy’s massive 😭💀 gonna fix it later but hey, at least the assets look good while she stomps around lol ...and thanks again to Eager Passion for helping with Mandy's model, maybe check out her cool Yoi model? #GameDev #UnrealEngine #IndieDev #Platformer #HackAndSlash

Couldn’t resist it—wall running is now in the game... well wall surfing... Had to bring back some old platforming too: rope walking & perching. And yeah… I was too lazy to animate them before, oops 😅 Really happy with how they feel now, though. Makes the whole movement system shine a little more. Eager Passion She has been helping me with Mandy's model also did a really cool #Samus render... maybe check that out? #HacknSlash #UnrealEngine5 #indiedev #gamedev
