#Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani’s remarks focused on three main issues: 1. #Syria and the security of the #Gulf states 📌 He affirmed that #Syria stands alongside the #Gulf states and that the security and stability of the Gulf are integral to Syria’s own security and stability. 📌 He said that Syria’s stability contributes to security and stability across the #Gulf region. 📌 He noted that #Syria and the Gulf states are holding discussions at the political, economic, security, and military levels. 📌 He described Syria as a trusted partner of the Gulf states, stressing that it would not stand idly by in the face of any attack or threat against them. 📌 He explained that Syria is prepared to provide whatever support it can within its capabilities, while acknowledging that the country is still recovering from 14 years of war. 📌 He spoke of ongoing discussions about #Syria joining a regional security and defence framework with the Gulf states, whether through the Mecca Agreement or other arrangements serving the same purpose. 2. Tensions along the #Syrian-#Jordanian border 📌 He denied that clashes had taken place in the manner reported, arguing that the Jordanian army’s withdrawal of its earlier statement was evidence that no clashes had occurred. 📌 He said that the incident last week was contained through intensive communication with the Jordanian side. 📌 He referred to his visit to #Jordan, during which he offered condolences to the families of the victims in #Daraa. 📌 He said the Jordanian leadership was receptive to resolving the issue and closing this chapter, while ensuring the rights of #Syrians and preventing a recurrence. 📌 He stressed that #Syrian-#Jordanian relations are too deeply rooted to be affected by such passing incidents. 📌 He explained that discussions are ongoing to improve border coordination mechanisms, although this does not necessarily mean reaching a new agreement. 📌 He affirmed that #Syria wants secure borders for both #Jordan and #Syria, with the sovereignty of both countries respected and no violations. 3. Negotiations with #Israel and the #Golan Heights 📌 Al-Shaibani rejected the description of #Syria as having reached a state of exhaustion, in response to statements suggesting that both sides had become exhausted, potentially making an agreement easier to reach. 📌 He stressed that #Syria has the will to continue negotiations, as well as the determination to defend itself, its people, and its territory. 📌 He considered Israeli demands to be the main obstacle to reaching a peace agreement. 📌 He reiterated that the #Golan Heights are #Syrian territory and that #Syria will not relinquish its rights. 📌 He described #Israel’s occupation of territories it took control of after 8 December 2024, as illegal, and called for #Israel to withdraw from them. 📌 He stressed that achieving stable and secure borders requires #Israel to respect those borders and take Syria’s concerns over #Israeli incursions and violations into account.

How did the operation to lure in the perpetrator Amjad Youssef begin? A story that started with a friend request and ended with the truth being revealed. The Swedish television program Täcknamn Anna reveals details of the operation carried out by Ansar Shahoud’s team to reach him. The story began on Facebook, with an account named “Anna” a persona carefully created to match his interests and gain his trust. The messages began, followed by the first video call, and eventually the meeting location was carefully prepared and decorated. Using a fake online identity under the codename “Anna,” she manages to make contact with the perpetrators on Facebook. But exposing crimes in one of the world’s most brutal regimes comes at a price. Everything you see is real it was used and existed inside the prisons of the Assad regime. “The walls have ears” is a phrase whose meaning is almost impossible to explain in words to Syrians. But today, the walls are speaking at the Prisons Corner in the Ministry of Interior’s pavilion at the Damascus International Fair, at the exhibition grounds in Damascus. The Syrian people endured this pain and so much more, and they carried on until they prevailed.
