Choosing to move from California to Poland was one of the best choices I've ever made, particularly now that San Francisco has taken on a ghost town vibe. People often ask me, "Why would you ever leave California for Poland?" I understand the curiosity; it's a valid question. Why would someone leave the idyllic setting of California to move to, of all places, Poland? Well, there are numerous reasons, and in this video, I'll once again reiterate why I left over 5 years ago.

A 24-year-old Polish doctoral student, Klaudia, passed away after a two-week struggle in a hospital. She was killed by a 19-year-old Venezuelan migrant, while she walked home through a park at night after her shift as a barmaid in Toruń. The assailant attacked her with the intent to sexually assault her and stabbed her in the eyes to prevent her from identifying him to authorities.
