The United States has lifted the blockade and Iranians are now moving oil and provision 10 of the MOU commits the United States to waive sanctions upon the signing of the MOU (so, now) to permit the Iranians to collect payment for that oil. HT Aishah Hasnie Fox News

A state poses a threat to the United States when it has the will and ability to inflict harm. The IRGC still has the will to harm the US as evidenced by the ongoing attacks against US forces and our allies in the region. President Trump pumped the brakes on the deal. There will be no deal unless it satisfies all of the US requirements. And *senior officials tell me* that there will only ever be US action based on demonstrated Iranian behavior. And US forces will not leave the region and will be read to resume operations should the POTUS direct it.

The US is conducting limited strikes against the IRGC. These periodic strikes are likely to continue, even as the Trump administration gains momentum not only against Iran but also in the war over the public narrative. Third parties are now corroborating the admin's claims that what amounts to "Project Freedom" is getting significant amounts of oil through the Strait.

Iranian missiles are not reaching their intended targets, and that's because of Iran's shortcomings and US/ally hardware AND software advantages. But RF/PRC help could boost Iran and we need budget reconcilliation or some legislative vehicle to apppropriate funds to replenish munitions stocks.

- One of our greatest advantages is our alliances and specifically with Israel. And the IRGC wants to drive a wedge between us. - Restraining Israel should not be part of a deal with Iran. Hezbollah is already required to disarm accoring to multiple UNSCRs and Lebanon is required to disarm it. - Israel cannot afford not to defend itself and we should expect it to continue to do so.

Russian propaganda is influencing the right-coded podcasters and even some Members of Congress. The leftwing has long been sympathetic to arguments from our enemies but now we have the horseshoe in effect. Regardless of your view on the degree of help we supply Ukraine, we should be clear about who are aggressors vs defenders and enemies and allies.

We aren't calling it Project Freedom anymore, but the US is successfully guiding ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Some reports say as many as 17 ships per day, far fewer than the 100/day before the war but 3X as many as just a few weeks ago. And at the same time we are degrading Iran's military capabilities around the Strait. But we cannot treat attacks aimed at US forces seriously only if Americans are killed.
