Let’s talk about the facts. Not conspiracies, not false myths spread on social media – facts. Danielle Smith’s policy targeting trans and gender-diverse youth is an attack on a vulnerable group of youth and on thousands of Albertans. It is a massive overstep into private health care decisions. And it is an attack on the fundamental education rights of kids in our province. But don’t take it from me: listen to the experts and allies in our video. Listen to the people with real, lived experiences. Share this video and information with your friends and help combat the misinformation being spread by the Alberta government. Sign our petition and tell Danielle Smith to stop pursuing these proposed changes. Tell her that Albertans believe all human rights must be protected. #ableg #alberta #transrightsarehumanrights

Smith has restated her intent to meet with extremist Tucker Carlson. By appearing on stage beside a person with such hateful, harmful views, Smith shows a total disregard for the negative consequences this will have on Alberta’s reputation, and casts severe doubt on her own.

We’re aware of Danielle Smith’s plan to release a parental rights policy this week. I want to be clear: The Alberta NDP will do everything we can to ensure these targeted children are protected. The timing of this announcement, days after Alberta learned of Caidence’s heartbreaking story, seems particularly cruel. While the news was reporting that 12-year-old Caidence had nearly lost her chance for a life-saving kidney transplant because of staffing shortages at the Stollery, Smith was sharing a stage and smiling in photo ops with Tucker Carlson after he spouted racist, homophobic rhetoric in Calgary. Rather than throwing their efforts, their time, and their resources towards solving the dangerous situation Alberta children are facing in our health care system, it appears the UCP is trying to gain points with their base by engaging in dog whistle politics. Yesterday, Smith said, we should “think about the kids who are listening to us as adults talking about these issues that are impacting them.” The kids *are* listening, Danielle. You’re being loud and clear.

Thank you, Alberta. Short of having and raising my family, the opportunity to serve this party and this province has been the honour of my life. The people of Alberta are bold, friendly, open, caring and adventurous. I’ve learned so much from them. Thank you to all the Albertans I’ve met along the way – those who advised me, supported me, and even disagreed with me. I love this province, and I know that our best days are still ahead.

Thank you to Doug Griffiths, former PC cabinet minister, for his endorsement. If you have voted conservative in the past, I'm asking you to trust me with your vote in this election. I will deliver stable, hopeful government, and a better future for Alberta.

The UCP government is willing to gamble with your pension by pulling out of the Canadian Pension Plan. Albertans have been clear that they do not want a provincial pension plan. Instead, Danielle Smith’s plan is to spend more of our money on advertising to sell Albertans something we do not want. Albertans don't trust the UCP government to manage their pensions. We need to tell them that loud and clear. Signs are limited, so order yours now before we run out!

An Alberta NDP Government will FREEZE TUITION this year. That means, that the increase Danielle Smith just stuck students with for the coming school year will be reversed. It’s time to better support our future leaders and that starts with making their education more affordable.

Americans are eating our lunch. Texas, South Dakota, and other Republican states are investing in renewable energy. This isn’t about left vs. right. It’s about success vs. failure. Renewable energy job creators are deciding where they’re going next. We need to make sure Alberta is open for business. If you have thoughts on this you’d like to share, send us a message using the link below. We want to hear from you.
