There are three doors a child walks through that will determine their future: the front door of the home, the front door of the school, and the front door of the place of worship. If those three doors are not aligned, it impacts a child’s education and future. Today, 50% of our kids cannot read at grade level. Republicans have abandoned public education, Democrats have abandoned standards and accountability, and our kids are the ones paying the ultimate price.

Prime Minister Netanyahu and his government have led Israel into a dead end. For too long, the United States has confused being a strong ally with being a silent one. A blank check has come without expectations, accountability, or consequences. That approach has allowed Prime Minister Netanyahu to ignore America's concerns over settlements, expand a regional war, and believe there would be no strategic cost. It has also allowed the denial of food and medical relief to innocent Palestinians in Gaza, fueling a perception around the world that Israel is indifferent to the suffering of civilians. That is not good for Israel. It is not good for America. And it is not a path to peace. The strongest alliances are built on honesty, shared values, and the willingness to tell each other hard truths. It's time for a fundamentally new approach to the U.S.-Israel relationship—one that advances Israel's security, Palestinian’s right to self-determination, and the Arab world’s desire for regional stability.

While we’re on the topic, I’m not going to be lectured on capitalism vs. socialism by Donald Trump and his cronies. Trump’s personal corruption, family enrichment, and interference in the economy would make Fidel Castro blush. The system today IS rigged on behalf of those who are well connected. The tax code rewards wealth preservation instead of wealth creation, and it’s harder for the middle class to get ahead. With the right policies and priorities we can level the playing field and restore faith in American capitalism – just as FDR did nearly a century ago. Putting an end to Trump’s crony capitalism is the first step to restoring capitalism’s health.

I'm not interested in turning blue districts to cobalt blue. Let’s focus on flipping red districts to blue to get a Democratic majority and hold the most corrupt administration in American history accountable. While Americans are paying $4 a gallon and struggling to reach the middle class, Donald Trump has made more than $1.4 billion from crypto and meme coins, and $400 million from the Qatari plane, using public office for private gain. We need an administration that works for the American people, not for themselves.

The US-Israel alliance is at a tipping point and the status quo is unsustainable for both the US and Israel. The two-state solution has stalled for thirty years. The future requires a 23 state solution: merging Israel's need for security, the Palestinian people's desire for self-determination, and the Arab world’s desire for regional stability. That is the path to an Israel that stands as an ally, not a dependent; an Israel with full diplomatic relations across the Arab world; an Israel that is no longer isolated, but central to the most important trade corridor on earth. That is Israel’s future. That is the alliance’s future. And that is the foundation for a stable Middle East.

Let’s bet on America — not against it. I’m proposing a 10% fee on prediction markets and online gambling to fund an American Innovation Fund—investing in AI, quantum computing, fusion energy, life sciences, and national security tech. President Xi is investing in the future, whereas President Trump’s cuts in NIH and NSF is defaulting on America’s preeminence. That’s not how you win. Let’s fund cures, build new energy resources, lead in defense technologies and quantum tech. Stop falling further behind, start investing in winning again. That’s the American way.

Mississippi went from 49th to 9th in their reading scores - known as the “Mississippi Miracle.” Tennessee, Louisiana, and Alabama adopted the same (phonics) model and are seeing similar gains for their kids. It works. What are we waiting for? We need the courage to stand by our kids. China is not holding back America’s kids. That’s on all of us. It’s time to put American children first.

It was my parents' daily reminder: you are the fortunate few — and you don't get to be frivolous with your opportunity in America. Being an American is winning the lottery ticket of life. When it comes to our adolescents, it’s either going to be adults or the algorithms that raise our kids. No child under the age of 16 should have access to social media. TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and others are too powerful, too addictive, too alluring and too often target our young kids. Parents cannot fight Big Tech alone. Sensible regulations cut teen smoking and banned phones in classrooms to boost academic and social development. We’ve proven that smart steps are effective. The time for debate and discussion is over. It’s time to protect our kids and strengthen our families.

President Trump, his cabinet, members of Congress, and all federal officials cannot bet on prediction markets tied to U.S. policy or military action. This can be done by an executive order, but we know that won’t happen, as Donald Trump has normalized corruption in the White House - something we should have a zero tolerance policy for. We can’t have young kids from Peoria, Illinois, and Platteville, Wisconsin, risking their lives while a bunch of nepo babies from Palm Springs and Palm Beach are risking their daddy's little inheritance. Washington needs a good power washing. It’s time we stop betting against America.

Polls showing Democrats and independents are less proud of America aren't just highlighting our broken politics. It emphasizes our broken trust in our government and institutions. After the Iraq War, the financial crisis, the loss of jobs to globalization, and COVID, too many Americans watched those at the top walk away while everyone else paid the price. The answer isn't more cynicism. It's restoring the American Dream so every family can work towards achieving a middle-class life, believing their tomorrow can be better than today. That's how we rebuild pride in America.

From a $400 million Qatari plane to a $1.7 million no bid contract for Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Reflecting Pool guy to the world’s most corrupt crypto startup in World Liberty Financial, there’s not a day that goes by where Trump’s administration doesn’t take public service and turn it into private gain.

I’ve seen more thorough autopsies from the local coroner’s office. This DNC autopsy report has nothing to do with how to win a race. But if you want a roadmap for how to lose one, it’s probably useful. Winning isn’t as complicated as it looks. Candidates who can appeal to a broad coalition of Democrats and Independents, who know how to communicate why they’re running and why that matters to voters — that was the secret sauce behind Bill Clinton and Barack Obama’s electoral and reelection successes. It was also the formula that helped Nancy Pelosi become Speaker. The last three presidential elections were decided by roughly half a million voters across seven states. We need candidates who know how to win those states and earn the confidence of those swing voters. It’s that simple. And you won't find the combination to that lock in this autopsy report.

The answer to America’s educational challenges will be found in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, not Harvard, Massachusetts. I visited Woodley Elementary and met an inspiring principal, dedicated teachers, and committed students. With a 96% attendance rate and rising reading and math scores, they’re proof positive what’s possible when we invest in our kids’ literacy, support our educators, and hold ourselves accountable for progress. Let’s take what’s working in Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana and make it the national standard. Our kids and their parents deserve nothing less.

Washington is due for a good power wash. From crypto fundraisers in the White House, gifts coming in the size of Air Force One, all-expense-paid trips from special interests who have cases before the courts, and insider stock trades tied to committee business - a good scrub is due. To seal the clean - at age 75 across all three branches of government - up and out. You are done. Thank you for your service. Just like the military, the private sector, and most of society - when you hit 75, the bell rings. Washington isn’t so great as to exempt itself from an age cap. And it would bring real change to focus on the public interest rather than their own.
