I still recall first hearing - and then seeing - the Lancia Stratos HF with Munari at the wheel in Sutton Park on the 1977 Lombard RAC Rally. It was one of those indelible moments that never leaves you. Grazie per i ricordi, Sandro 🙏

✋ Who else believes the World Rally Championship would benefit significantly were this provision incorporated as a late amendment into the 2026 FIA Sporting Regulations? 👇 52.7 SNOWBALL ENGAGEMENT DURING SPECIAL STAGES On rallies in which snow is present along the itinerary, competitors shall be required to stop at a designated point within the special stage, exit their cars, and participate in a snowball engagement with spectators for a continuous period of thirty (30) seconds. The precise location of this activity shall be identified in the road book and clearly marked on the stage. The crew must resume the stage only upon completion of the full prescribed duration. Failure by any crew member to comply with the above obligation shall be reported to the Stewards, who may impose a fine of €10,000.
