As CEO of Conneco Petroleum in East Africa and a pioneer in real estate, he contributed to Somalia’s economic development. He later served as an MP and minister in the Transitional Federal Government. He is also remembered for supporting infrastructure projects, including Gaalkacyo Airport and developments in Caabudwaaq. Nearly two decades after his passing during the holy month of Ramadan, his legacy continues to live on through the projects and communities he supported. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaws. Ameen.
