Osman Hassan Ali Atto was a multimillionaire businessman, a founding member and major financier of the United Somali Congress (USC), which played a key role in overthrowing Siad Barre’s regime in 1991. As CEO of Conneco Petroleum in East Africa and a pioneer in real estate, he contributed to Somalia’s economic development. He later served as an MP and minister in the Transitional Federal Government. He is also remembered for supporting infrastructure projects, including Gaalkacyo Airport and developments in Caabudwaaq. Nearly two decades after his passing during the holy month of Ramadan, his legacy continues to live on through the projects and communities he supported. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaws. Ameen.

Over the past three years, Mogadishu has not experienced any terrorist incidents, and there have only been three major incidents in the last three years.
