My amendment to add the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) as a "Chinese entity of concern” passed last night. Their collaboration with the Chinese Communist Party and the People’s Liberation Army poses a direct threat to our national security. We cannot allow American institutions of higher learning to engage with CAS while receiving DHS grants for sensitive research.
