It was a beautiful evening, and a great reminder that we’re not tired of winning for the American people! H-1B visa fraud has run rampant in North Texas. Thanks to the great work of a North Texas journalist, Sara Gonzales, we saw just how vast it is in our own backyard. I alerted the Trump Administration and called for an interagency investigation. They responded quickly, and efforts are now underway to crack down on this fraud. Earlier this year, we flagged rampant H-1B visa fraud in North Texas to the Trump Administration, and they moved fast. This is exactly the kind of abuse we suspected – and exactly why a coordinated investigation was needed. According to Secretary Markwayne Mullin, nearly 60% of all nationwide H-1B fraud investigations against employers trace back to North Texas. When Inspector General Anthony D'Esposito D’Esposito visited in August, in ONE BUILDING ALONE he found over 500 instances of likely H-1B visa fraud.

Earlier this year, we flagged rampant H-1B visa fraud in North Texas to the Trump Administration, and they moved fast. This is exactly the kind of abuse we suspected – and exactly why a coordinated investigation was needed. According to Secretary Markwayne Mullin, nearly 60% of all nationwide H-1B fraud investigations against employers trace back to North Texas. It was an honor to have Acting Secretary of Labor Acting Secretary Keith Sonderling join us for the 2026 North Texas Job Fair today. We were glad to have him here to witness the Texas miracle! Through the Working Families Tax Cuts, House Republicans and the Trump administration have delivered real relief for hardworking families and created new opportunities with pro-growth tax reform. It was great to see those efforts put into action here in North Texas with 670 employers hiring for over 68,000 positions.
