Here’s the situation: There was a bipartisan deal to stop a government shutdown. But now, shadow President Elon Musk is calling the shots and Mike Johnson, Trump, and Republicans are falling in line. It’s clear who’s in charge.

Trans kids aren’t raising your rent, making your groceries more expensive, or taking away your health care. Republicans are doing that, all while giving billionaires a tax cut.

Nurul Amin Shah Alam, a nearly blind refugee, was found dead after Border Patrol abandoned him miles away from his home and without notifying his family or attorney. This is absolutely horrifying — and completely preventable. There must be a full investigation immediately.

The Secretary of Forever Wars, Pete Hegseth, just announced they are going to provide hormone therapy to male service members who don’t have enough testosterone. Let’s be clear: This is gender affirming care and it completely debunks all of Republicans’ attacks on trans people.

I am a proud first-generation immigrant. And when I am chair of the Immigration Subcommittee, we will pass permanent protections and pathways to citizenship for immigrant families.

I went to immigration court in Seattle to observe the kids' docket. These kids are expected to represent themselves in court. To expect a child, clutching a stuffed animal, to argue against a seasoned attorney is ridiculous. We can and should be providing children with legal counsel.

23 people have died in immigration detention this year under the Trump administration, and ICE seems to be lying about the circumstances. They told Congress that Chaofeng Ge died by suicide, but he was found with his hands and feet tied. That simply doesn’t add up.

There has been over 3X the amount of corporate spending SO FAR in the 2026 midterms compared to 2022, according to Public Citizen’s new report. $646 MILLION. And it’s not even November yet. If Democrats retake power, we have to end this cycle and stand up to corporate money.

There have been too many disrespectful comments coming from Democrats about progressive wins. It is clear the American people want fighters, not people who prioritize the wealthiest who buy elections.

Trump and Republicans are releasing criminals in order to boost their detention numbers with children and people who “look undocumented.” Trump is making our communities less safe.

Today, I spent almost 4 hours at the Department of Justice to once again look through the unredacted Epstein files. It is very clear that there is evidence here that needs to be investigated. I will not stop demanding accountability.

We are never going to stop fighting for trans women and girls.

Today, I voted NO on categorically banning transgender girls from school sports. How do you verify “reproductive biology?” By subjecting every high school girl to examinations? I don’t think so. This invasive legislation harms ALL girls.

Enrique is a TPS holder who has been legally living and working in the United States for over 13 years. If his TPS is terminated, he could be deported to unsafe conditions immediately — a limbo that millions are living with under Trump.

The United States is inflicting collective punishment on the Cuban people. The American people would be horrified to see what our government is doing. The fuel blockade against Cuba must end.

BS Alert: House Republicans just cancelled the last two weeks of votes in September. Instead of working to lower costs, they’re going back home to lie about the high gas, grocery, and healthcare costs that they created. Don’t believe them for a second.
