You won’t believe the latest excuse from ICE. They told us: “This is a field office, not a detention facility.” But the sign says Detention Center. They said, “No one’s being detained, they’re just being processed.” So I asked: “Are they free to leave?” They couldn’t answer. If you’re not free to leave, you’re being detained. Let’s stop pretending otherwise.

WHAT'S NEXT? I’m going back tomorrow (Monday) to keep demanding answers under my legal authority. On Friday, I was blocked from entering the Roybal Building to do oversight—even though federal law gives me that right. I’m trying to check in on the condition of women & kids detained. Checking in on labor leader David Huerta. And see why attorneys are being shut out. I’m not going to stop!

SCOTUS just opened the door to a world where a baby born in California is a citizen—but one in Texas isn’t. It’s a dangerous decision and a direct attack on the 14th Amendment. Trump’s order is paused for 30 days, so kids born to immigrants this month are citizens. After that, families should file class actions. We’re not going back.
