Democrats say voter ID is racist and the SAVE Act must be stopped. Yet, Mamdani will require ID at his government grocery stores, to “protect the program from abuse.” So which is it? If identification safeguards the integrity of a public grocery program, why is it suddenly a threat when used to protect the integrity of an election?

A parent shouldn’t have to worry that their child reaching into a cooler accidentally grabs an alcoholic or THC drink that is unclearly labeled. That is why I am introducing the Safe Sips Act, commonsense federal legislation requiring beverages with intoxicating substances to carry a standard, color-coded top so parents and kids can know at a glance what they are picking up. As a dad of three young daughters, I believe parents deserve that peace of mind, whether at the grocery store, a neighborhood barbecue, or in their own backyard.

When a child reaches for a drink, safety should be obvious, not buried in the fine print. Yet today, beverages containing alcohol or THC can look strikingly similar to water, non alcoholic seltzer, and energy drinks, forcing parents and consumers to study the label just to know what they are holding. That is why I am introducing the Safe Sips Act, federal legislation requiring a uniform color on the tops of cans and bottles containing intoxicating substances like alcohol or THC. A simple visual standard can prevent a dangerous mistake before it happens. Parents deserve clarity. Kids deserve protection. And neither should have to come from reading the fine print.

Kathy Hochul is spending $4.3 billion on noncitizens’ hotels, healthcare, and lawyers. Yet, only $90 million (1/48th) on New York’s cybersecurity defenses, despite Suffolk and Southold getting hacked. I asked Governor Hochul’s cyber chief whether those priorities make sense as cyber threats against New York continue to grow.

Catholic Veterans can pick from nearly 100 VA headstone emblems. But not a Crucifix. Well, not yet. This week, the House will vote on the MilCon-VA Bill with my friend Rep. Riley Moore's amendment requiring the VA to approve the crucifix within 90 days. It already passed our Appropriations Committee 58 to 0 – every Republican and Democrat. Catholic Veterans defended everyone's religious freedom. They deserve theirs.
