A KSRTC Superfast bus didn’t have enough FASTag balance, so toll authorities denied entry. The solution? The driver turned around on the high-speed track and drove nearly 3 km against oncoming traffic on the NH 66 bypass, putting not only passengers but also other road users at risk. His defence? Tragic incident from God’s own country Here is a 2-week-old video of 1-and-a-half-year-old Arshad with both hands fractured. In the video, his mother Akhila lies, claiming he broke his hands by falling off a bicycle. Tragically, little Arshad passed away 2 days ago at the hospital. Arshad’s biological father, Akhil, died by suicide when Akhila was 3 months pregnant. Afterward, Akhila moved in with her boyfriend, Ashkar. It seems his stepfather, Askhar, was torturing the toddler for a long time while his mother silently watched. The doctor’s report revealed: • 51 distinct injuries across his small body. • Severe trauma and injuries inflicted on his genitals. • Cigarette burn marks covering his legs. • Internal bleeding and older fractures from continuous physical abuse. Students from a nearby private school are seen lining up beside a bus, but the conductor refuses entry. Only a couple are allowed because student tickets are discounted. As expected, the “Priyadarshini” free ride for women and transgenders has put private operators in crisis, and they are taking it out on students. Instead of free rides for women, the government should have given them to students. But students aren’t a big vote bank, right?

For over 2,000 years, the Kottiyoor Temple complex has stood as one of Hinduism’s most revered sacred sites. Its Vaishaka Mahotsavam, observed for more than 1,200 years and codified by Adi Shankaracharya, commemorates the legendary Daksha Yaga through rituals performed exclusively by 64 traditional Hindu Sthanikars. There is no historical record of any “Bavalikkettu” ritual in this tradition. Yet Shahid Thekkil, a Congress leader from Karnataka and Chairman of the Karnataka Minimum Wage Advisory Board, arrived at the Bavali River with a group posing as historians, performed an act known only to them, filmed it with a media crew, and promoted it across social media. The Kottiyoor Temple Devaswom Board have publicly stated that they have no knowledge of any such ritual and that the temple’s traditional rights belong solely to recognised Hindu titleholders.. This can’t be seen an isolated incident, but as part of a broader pattern: challenge long-standing customs, publicise the violation, and repeat it until it is presented as a “new tradition.” From controversies surrounding Waqf claims in Tamil Nadu to the latest dispute at Kottiyoor, the pattern is becoming increasingly clear. Who authorised this act? Who provided the backing? And why was a centuries-old custom disregarded? Incidentally, both Kerala and Karnataka are ruled by Congress-led UDF. It is difficult to believe that Shahid would undertake such a provocative act—one that has deeply hurt the religious sentiments of countless Hindu devotees—without support or approval from higher authorities. #KottiyoorTemple #SaveHinduTraditions #ProtectTemples
