Former Rockstar developer Mike York talks about how he feels the range of facial animations in the GTA 6 extended look seems a bit limited. He specifically mentions that he feels a lot of Jason’s facial animations are a bit flat and stale. As far as faces go, this is without a doubt the best I have ever seen in a video game. And I’d never really thought about it until watching Mike’s video. Do you think he has a point and how do you feel about the facial animations?

Jason Schreier stated in his latest video that one of the top executives at Rockstar Games sent out an email to employees regarding the GTA 6 leaks to boost morale. Jason says the exec mentioned in the email that when people actually see the gameplay properly, we will be super impressed. This has got me even more excited for the extended look on Thursday. I’m already ridiculously impressed with what I’ve seen so far.

IGN on some of the NPC dialogue lines they heard whilst previewing GTA 6 hands-off…. I get the feeling that repetitive NPC dialogue is pretty much going to be a thing of the past for this game. It’s looking ridiculously varied and these systems seem to be going a lot deeper than we ever imagined. I wonder how far you will have to go to break the immersion.

Brian doesn’t half know how to tell a story. (Definitely a nice bit of foreshadowing here) People were worried about Dan Houser leaving and how the writing would turn out for GTA 6. Based on the extended look, we have absolutely nothing to worry about. Can’t wait to experience this story. I know one thing… It will take me a lot longer than 80 hours. What’s your standout moment from what you saw yesterday.

Tom Henderson and the Insider Gaming guys talk about the GTA 6 leaks and the theories that this all part of Rockstar’s marketing. They also discuss the impact it could have on the extended look dropping on Netflix. I know one thing, there is no way this is intentional from Rockstar, not a chance. They wouldn’t want us to see it unfinished like this. And I genuinely believe the extended look will completely wash all this away.

In an interview with CNBC, Strauss Zelnick was asked about GTA 6: An Extended look and the Netflix deal. When asked for a hint, he said. “The hint is, i think it’s really worth watching… it’s really worth watching” I didn’t pick this up before, but it’s quite interesting that he went on to say… “And 6 hours after the initial premiere, it will be on Rockstar’s YouTube channels, and of course it will make its way all over social media” Is this pretty much confirmation of no content creation until it drops on YouTube?

Strauss avoiding the question on how much GTA 6 has cost to develop. The interviewer did try to press him a little about the game itself. But he remained quite broad with his answers. “We do spend a lot of money on our console and PC titles and that’s because we seek perfection in everything we do”

After playing over 100 hours of Crimson Desert with this camera mod. I really hope they bring it to the game officially, so everyone else can experience the game like this. Changes everything for me and it’s so much better. This game has entered 🐐 conversation as far as I’m concerned.

XBOX CEO Asha Sharma briefly talks about GTA 6 and the impact it will have on the industry. “I think it’s just one of the most important parts of culture at this point and we want to make sure we’re fully supporting it” It was great to hear her say she’s excited to learn from it. I’m sure there are loads of companies who will be getting the notepad out when this game drops.

Tom Henderson offers to take up the 1000 euro bet laid down by Graczdari_91. Graczdari stated that GTA 6 Trailer 3 would be dropping on Tuesday May 26th. Insider Gaming also give their opinion on Trailer 2 still been pinned with May 26th as the release date. Just to clarify, we wont be getting anything on Tuesday in my opinion. We have been given the window and that’s more than enough for me.

Alex from Digital Foundry says that Rockstar Games are being disingenuous in calling parts of GTA 6 trailer 2 gameplay. “We wouldn’t ever allow other developers to describe things like this as gameplay” Personally i completely disagree. It doesn’t need a fixed camera position in third person to be classified as a gameplay. Does that mean if I go into cinematic camera mode in red dead redemption 2 that it’s not gameplay anymore? What do you think?

Strauss Zelnick talks about the gap between GTA releases and how things could evolve over the next 10 years. “I think one of the reasons that GTA 6 is so widely anticipated is that we now have a GTA ecosystem that Rockstar built” He also mentions that they’ve actually been up to quite a lot during the gap.

Tom Henderson and the Insider Gaming guys pointed out that GTA 6 Online was technically mentioned, briefly, during the Take-Two Interactive earnings call. It was referred to as a “Platform Expansion.” He’s definitely right… I’ve not really seen many people talking about this. Hopefully, we get some more details as we get closer to release.

The ending of the Digital Foundry Crimson Desert PS5 Pro video literally gave me goosebumps. “This is without a doubt one of the most impressive open world experiences I’ve ever had” Performance is also looking a lot better than I expected. Roll on next Thursday. Digital Foundry
