I need everyone to understand how electrifying it was witnessing a full Ultraman stage performance in-person, in such a large mall. These people are so good at their craft, that their stage presence was enough to form crowds on the BALCONIES. My camera cannot do it justice.

Ultraman LIVE at Japan Society was a once-in-a-lifetime variant of the American Dream performance. Because it utilizes the resources of an actual theater, it felt much more immersive and intimate. What an amazing privilege to witness this up close in my own city.

Reflecting on Ultraman LIVE, I feel theater is the strongest medium for Ultraman. It's the stage elements of tokusatsu in their natural habitat, without the safety of TV magic. Because they're right there, doing this for real, they ARE real. And you're in the moment with them.
