600 more Ghanaians register at our High Commission to be evacuated from South Africa. When the safety and dignity of Ghanaians are at stake, the Government of Ghana does not compromise or dither. I am immensely proud of the resilient spirit of Ghanaians. See you soon -- there's no place like home. For God and Country 🇬🇭 🙏🏾

During our press conference in Moscow with Foreign Minister Lavrov after our bilateral engagement, I disclosed that an important matter to Ghana was how to stop the illegal recruitment of Ghanaian youth who are lured and end up fighting in the Russia-Ukraine war. Unfortunately, the number of Ghanaian deaths in Russia has gone up. 62 Ghanaians have now died and 15 who travelled to Russia remain missing. I welcome the pledge of the Russian Government to work with the Government of Ghana to stop the illegal enlistment of our youth. The Government of Ghana will continue to lead advocacy on this matter and ensure that our youth are protected from harm’s way. This is not our war and it should not be claiming Ghanaian lives. (See video attached). For God and Country 🇬🇭 🙏🏾

During my working visit to the US, I joined colleagues yesterday at our embassy in Washington DC to respond to calls, and assess progress of ongoing institutional overhaul. We are working hard to improve client relations, instill a culture of professional responsiveness, project a new reset image of Ghana and demonstrate that Ghana is truly open for business as President Mahama proclaimed at his investiture. I am delighted to note that since the re-opening of the Washington mission on May 27, 2025, more than 7,500 visas have been issued. How do you rate my client-relations skills?😆 For God and Country. 🇬🇭 🙏🏾

When you say a prayer, please say one for Napo. He really needs help. I challenge him to produce the pro-LGBTQ curriculum he claims I prepared. I also challenge him to provide the names of pastors and imams who went round the country with me promoting LGBTQ. Desperate concoctions and outright falsehoods would not revive the failed Bawumia/Napo campaign.

Today, the world marks International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition. This is how i responded to questions from the international press in Moscow when asked about the kind of world Ghana and its partners are working towards following our historic UN resolution declaring the transatlantic enslavement as the gravest crime against humanity. Working together, we shall build a better world for our children and their children.

Yesterday in Parliament, I had to take on my good friend, the Minister of Education on his rushed and unfair directive to first year secondary school students to report to school contrary to widespread protests from teacher unions, PTAs and Parliament. I also highlighted the plight of Mepe St. Kizito Senior Technical School in my beloved constituency which is serving as a displaced camp for thousands of VRA-induced flood victims, and may collapse without an urgent specific policy intervention. Let me assure all St. Kizito stakeholders as I did in Parliament yesterday that I shall not sit back and allow that great St. Kizito project to fail. In this together, rising together. 🙏🏾

Responses to my questions in Parliament last Friday by the Tourism Minister now give us an idea of how much private donations were received in Ghana and the USA for the construction of the National Cathedral. The Minister stated that GHS33,444,704.74 was raised in Ghana and US$427,701 was raised in the US. Interestingly, the US figure is significantly different from what was declared to US tax authorities. That notwithstanding, we would have to add these private donations to the taxes illegally withdrawn for the project in order to have a more accurate picture. Tax Withdrawals — GHS339,003,064.86 Private Donations (Ghana) — GHS33,444,704.74 Private Donations (USA) — US$427,701.00 This basically means so far, the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government has spent about GHS379million not GHS339million on what is now described as the world’s most expensive pit. More instructively, this development confirms that our taxes have accounted for a staggering 88% of the cathedral expenditure, contrary to dishonest claims by government and cathedral officials that our tax funds represent a little seed contribution. It is either we stop galamsey or prepare for our mass burials! When I initiated discussions in Parliament yesterday on the existential threat of galamsey, I was not expecting anyone to engage in the often nauseating and condemnable NDC-NPP blame game. We must all put artificial differences aside and genuinely take responsibility to end this unmitigated suicidal mission. Without unquestionable integrity, sincerity, naming and shaming, a new leadership and severe sanctions of the real masterminds we cannot win any war against the mass killer, galamsey. #StopGalamseyNow
