Every crash you hear is a body hitting the ground from someone in the World Trade Center whose best option was to jump. Many of the firefighters you see in this clip did not survive the next few hours, including the chaplain. I don’t care about your suicidal empathy towards Islam. A leaked memo to CBC journalists and editors told them not to call the 9/11 al-Qaeda attacks “terrorism” in coverage of the 25th anniversary. This prompted international backlash. The man who wrote the memo, CBC News Senior Director of Journalistic Standards and Public Trust Basem Boshra, has now written a clarification backing down and changing CBC’s guidance. But even in this piece, he still can’t bring himself to call 9/11 a “terrorist attack.” He simply calls them “the attacks by al-Qaeda.” After the memo leaked, thousands of posts on social media called for Boshra to be fired. Instead, CBC had him publish a clarification piece on the issue. If that’s not good enough for you, head to and tell CBC the only acceptable way forward is to fire Basem Boshra.

BREAKING 🚨: According to eyewitnesses, a man began ramming cars with his vehicle toward the end of the Iran 🇮🇷 rally in Richmond Hill. After hitting several cars, he pulled out the flag of the Islamic Republic and began waving it. He then appeared to fake a medical emergency before police eventually handcuffed him and took him away. Iranians were left shaken and questioning whether police can handle these events.

Tragic scenes in Peterborough, Ontario, from what was once an active United church. It is now the Trinity Community Hub, a low-barrier homeless shelter and daytime drop-in centre operated by One City Peterborough. The centre has generated controversy over open drug use in this once-safe, family-friendly area. In 2024, One City confirmed that although it did not condone illicit drug use, it had established a discreet area where people could use drugs rather than doing so openly elsewhere.
