Without a doubt Revolut is Europe's best shot at a $1tn dollar company. In 10 years it's achieved: > $75bn valuation > $1bn profit > 65m users It's backed by Balderton Capital, Index Ventures, Lakestar and many other great European firms. I made this video to celebrate the success the company has seen, and its MONUMENTAL level of ambition. It's the first video I've made like this. Let me know what you think.

Andreas Klinger: "If one of my portfolio companies IPO'd in Europe there's a non-zero chance I would sue them" 😂 The local stock markets are too small. Europe can't complain about not having tech giants worth $100bn+ when we have nowhere to list them. Earlier in the year the German Chancellor said he was looking to build one unified stock exchange. If we implement EU–INC and then fix capital markets Europe will be so much stronger Good stuff from Andreas Klinger 🦾

The German Federal Innovation Agency is running a €125m competition to fund 3 new Frontier AI labs in Europe! "Next Frontier AI" is a pan-European initiative led by SPRIND, Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovation to create three globally relevant Frontier AI labs. It starts with a €125m challenge where up to 10 teams receive funding over 24 months to build frontier-lab capabilities, including team, infrastructure, prototypes, evaluation discipline, and early pilots. The best-performing teams will then receive structured support toward raising ~€1 billion each. Europe has some of the top AI companies in the world, but as a continent we are massively dependent on frontier labs from other countries. This initiative seeks to change that and I am HERE FOR IT.

The fastest growing company of all time is being built in Europe. Don't fall for the propaganda that you can't build amazing companies here. Victor Riparbelli is doing it with Synthesia 🎥 Nicolas Sharp is doing it with Attio Alan Chang is doing it with Fuse Energy Max Junestrand is doing it with Legora And of course Anton Osika – eu/acc and Fabian Hedin are doing it with Lovable. Last week the company celebrated it's 1 year anniversary and announced hitting $200m ARR. I made this video to celebrate the occasion. Lovable is truly one of the most incredible businesses of all time, and in Europe we should do do a better job of celebrating our successes. Congrats to the lovable team - you're flying the flag for European Tech and we LOVE to see it. Shoutout to Harry Stebbings for letting me use his voice and video clips to put this together.

The UK Government has just announced a £1.1bn package for AI Hardware! LETS GO Here's what is in the package: > £750m for a national AI supercomputer that will run on a heterogeneous mixed chip system (which Danyal Akarca and Callosum are building the future for) > Of the £750m, £400m will go towards equipping the UK’s AI supercomputer with next-generation chips, which could include buying chips from UK companies OLIX and Fractile > £120m will fund a new AI Hardware Innovation Programme to give british companies the funding to design, develop and test innovative novel chips > £20m+ of the programme will expand the Scaling Inference Lab, delivered by ARIA and CommonAI > £45 million in new support for skills including backing doctoral training and undergraduate bursaries to train more engineers, chip designers and technicians I caught up with the Minister of AI Kanishka Narayan MP to get all the details. In 2019 Hopin raised a 250k pre-seed at a $2.5m valuation. Two years later it was valued at $8bn. That's over 3000x in two years. It was Carmen's (Carmen 🍫) first EVER angel investment BUT she never sold any shares. However without that learning, she says: "I don't know whether Cocoa 🍫 would exist. I don't know if I would have the same hustle and hunger" The best VCs/founders/operators I know get better and better each time they have a setback or get knocked down.
