If we’re serious about supporting our students' mental health, we need to make sure we're using every dollar available towards mental health support. I joined Rep. Lucy McBath in Atlanta, GA to talk about the importance of improving counselor to student ratios across the nation.

For many students, their faith is the core of who they are. Everyone should be free to learn and show up as their true selves. Today U.S. Department of Education released guidance on constitutional protected religious expression; protecting one's right to practice their faith, or no faith at all.

Every student and educator should feel safe in their classrooms, period. Raising the Pride flag at U.S. Department of Education was a powerful reminder that we stand with the LGBTQI+ students and educators in classrooms across the Nation and will do all we can to protect them. #PrideMonth2023

Happy #HispanicHeritageMonth! As a community, we're multifaceted & our contributions to this Nation reflect that. This month, we recommit to ensuring every Hispanic student, in districts big & small, has the opportunity for an excellent education. ¡Somos Todos, y Somos Uno!

I stopped by @TylerTigersDC in DC today to share one of my favorite books with students. In De Aquí como el Coquí by Normar Perez, a young boy moves to the U.S. mainland from Puerto Rico & learns his new home isn't much different than where he came from. #ReadAcrossAmerica
