When the Trump Administration uses our tax dollars to lock people up, we deserve to know what’s happening inside. I will always demand answers to ensure that people being held in detention are treated with dignity and provided access to basic needs and their lawyers.

We’ve seen this Administration repeatedly deflect, deny, and avoid responsibility, even in the face of video recordings. Today’s visit only reinforced those concerns. I asked and confirmed that the agent responsible is still on the job and still out in the field.
