State Sponsored Medical Kidnapping in Oklahoma! This is a gross and egregious violation of parental rights and is symptomatic with DHS protocols for maximizing billable hours and has a chilling effect on parents who might dare question DHS’s absolute authority over a family’s children. Since this teen was taken by DHS on Friday, I have been working with the family, parental rights advocates, elected officials, judges, attorneys, law enforcement and media. I reported to the DHS Director this misconduct. I personally visited the family, who are under duress, at the hospital and documented parental rights violations and medical intimidation. This family sought a second opinion and is pleased with the positive results of their chosen health protocols. It looks like DHS intentionally waited until Friday afternoon, knowing there could be no hearing until Monday, to maximize the time they had to force the OU Childrens Hospital’s cancer protocol on the teen, against the family’s wishes. The Mooney family is very well respected and is known by many members of the legislature. We are discovered that many families have been subjected to this kind of state sponsored medical kidnapping and extortion by prescribed treatment and billing hours. Both DHS and OU Children’s Hospital financially benefit when they usurp parental authority to drive their own protocols because SoonerCare (i.e. the taxpayer) picks up the bill. There is a perverse financial incentive to defy parental rights and take custody of their children. This family is being victimized by the weaponization of this state agency. Because of a false accusation, this family had their rights taken away and was forced into medical procedures without due process. We are asking for the immediate cessation of these forced medical protocols and immediate release of the mother and her teen from DHS and OU Children’s Hospital custody.
