🇻🇪 The Venezuela oil deal just got a lot more interesting. 🇺🇸 The US says China will NOT have claims over revenues from the 17 Venezuelan oil fields transferred into the new NABEP structure. 🇨🇳 China has pushed back and says its existing rights must be protected. Now the legality of the deal inside Venezuela is being questioned too. Legal experts argue the 100-year concessions, bypassing PDVSA and lack of public tender could conflict with Venezuelan law and its constitution. Venezuela disputes that. Most will analyse this as US vs. China. I don’t. China’s FIC is subordinate to the Chinese state. When Chinese banks lend, Chinese oil companies invest and Chinese creditors acquire claims, ultimately Beijing sits above that structure. That’s why Beijing is now defending those claims. The Western structure is different. The US government isn’t producing the oil. A privately controlled company is. NABEP keeps operational control. The US government gets protected 35% economics through warrants that cannot be diluted as new capital comes in. It gets preferential access to buy the oil. US law and US state power help protect the structure. Then private capital finances it. Potentially $100bn. That capital doesn’t have to be American. A company being listed in New York or headquartered in America doesn’t make its capital American. FIC is global. So I don’t see this as: America vs. China. I see two different systems negotiating. China uses FIC to advance the interests of the state. The US system uses the state to protect and de-risk assets for global FIC. If the private property rights themselves carry Venezuelan political and constitutional risk, US state involvement becomes part of what makes those rights financeable. The state doesn’t need to operate the oil. It needs to make the capital structure investable. China is defending sovereign creditor claims. Global FIC is being offered a US-protected private capital structure. Venezuela sits between them negotiating what sovereignty over its oil actually means. This is a negotiation over which system gets to structure the capital around the oil.

🇮🇱 Most people will see deeper US Israel military integration and say Israel controls America. I see the opposite. Israel is a MIC node. America is already subordinate to FIC. And ultimately MIC is subordinate to FIC because war requires budgets, debt and capital. US military aid does not simply go to Israel. Most of it returns to the US MIC through weapons procurement. Banks can even pay contractors today against future government appropriations. The taxpayer carries the liability. MIC gets the contracts. FIC finances and owns claims on the cash flows. Now the US Israel relationship is moving from aid towards joint investment, development and production. Israel is not taking control of the American military. Israel is becoming more deeply integrated into the US MIC. At the same time Israel is borrowing more and preparing to sell parts of IAI and Rafael. The IAI IPO has been delayed because military secrecy conflicts with the disclosure investors require. That is the important part. To privatise a sovereign military company the state has to make it compatible with capital market governance. Public money builds the asset. War increases its value. Debt finances the state. Privatisation turns the MIC into securities. FIC gains claims on the future profits and greater influence over how the assets are governed. This is not evidence that Israel rules America. It is evidence that both are being integrated into the same FIC financed military architecture. Israel is subordinate to MIC. The US MIC is subordinate to FIC. And financialisation is pulling more of the Israeli MIC under that same structure. The process is not complete. But the direction is clear.
