I agree with Limmy. Making our stupid people walk through Glasgow on the same date each summer, playing flutes, banging drums & wearing ill-fitting suits is very cruel. This is the 21st century & we shouldn't treat the afflicted like this. Time to ban this public humiliation.

"I stand here before you today as a proud lesbian woman". Apart from the SNP, few in Scotland believe this self-indulgent, anti-fact, unscientific nonsense. Not one person in that auditorium felt it necessary to challenge such balderdash. And this, in the land of The Enlightenment. 🤦♂️ The SNP under its current leadership team is now the biggest obstacle to independence & a better nation. 12 years of post referendum rule & the SNP has: - no strategy for independence, - made no preparations for statehood, & - has no credible leaders for our nation. The SNP has repelled most Scots with their control-freakery centralisation, beige talentless politicians, & cult-like adherence to this kind of nonsense. It has repelled our schemes, our businesses, Yes voters, as well as the soft-No's who were thinking about independence. Any meaningful debate on independence has now been banished from the SNP's main conference & all substance relegated to fringe events. Orwell sums up perfectly, the state of a once great party: "Applied to a Party member, it means a loyal willingness to say that black is white when Party discipline demands this. But it means also the ability to BELIEVE that black is white, and more, to KNOW that black is white, and to forget that one has ever believed the contrary." Scotland is so much more, and so much better, than what the SNP hierarchy is offering. Time to think anew, and act anew. 🏴

This is disgusting & brings shame on us all. It is the result of muscular Unionism & not the ethos of Jock Tamson's bairns. Scotland is at a crossroads & we must choose whether we stand with our neighbours. It's not where you are born that matters, but who you stand with. 🏴✊️

The world's 2nd biggest data centre is proposed for a greenfield site in a picturesque Fife village - Auchtertool. Fife Council looks set to wave it through planning without an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The project is monstrous. Is the so called 'Lanarkshire Labour Mafia' and ILI in cahoots with the Labour led Fife council? Why is the SNP playing Pontius Pilate with a project that will wipe out years of Net Zero gains made in Scotland? This is of national importance, with international interest. We have so many questions. This proposal does not pass the 'sniff test'.

The children of Auchtertool made this video to tell us how they feel about the hyper scale data center planned for our village. Please take a few minutes to watch it. But this isn't an Auchtertool problem - it's a Scottish one. The proposed data centre would need roughly half the power currently used by every home in Scotland combined. Who is paying to build all that extra capacity? It would also swallow huge amounts of water, and take much-needed farming land out of the food chain, which we all rely on. And to be clear - this isn't about being "anti-Al". A data centre like this powers the everyday: your photo storage, your online shopping, and yes, Al too. The question isn't whether we need infrastructure. It's how we build it safely, and sustainably. And how the people of Scotland benefit from it. At this scale, the only obvious winner is the developer. It's not obvious what the tangible benefits are for the people of Scotland. This is brilliant, & terrifying. Would you trust Swinney, Starmer or Trump with this kind of information or power? Think of how authority in Scotland & the UK has already abused its power with free speech, 'thought-crimes', political debate, etc. It's only going to get worse...
