The scenes depicting a clean-shaven actor wearing the Kirpan, while also promoting alcohol, are multiple acts of blasphemy that go against the core principles of Sikhism. This not only misrepresents our culture and religion but also deeply hurts the sentiments of the Sikh community. But what if I told you one of Southeast Asia’s most breathtaking balloon rides is hiding in Laos? 🇱🇦 Vang Vieng completely exceeded my expectations. Floating above dramatic limestone mountains, the winding Nam Song River and endless green rice fields felt surreal. No crowds. No noise. Just an unforgettable view that deserves far more attention than it gets. Laos 🇱🇦 was my fourth hot air balloon flight after Australia 🇦🇺 , Morocco 🇲🇦 and Türkiye 🇹🇷 . Every destination had its own magic, but Vang Vieng has a charm that’s impossible to compare. Sometimes the places you know the least about end up leaving the biggest impression. One thing I also loved was how effortless planning has become. Years ago, I had to rely on a travel agent for experiences like this. Grand Mirage Bali reminded us that the best family holidays are rarely about ticking off attractions. They are about finding a place where everyone discovers their own version of happiness. While the kids raced from water slides to sailing adventures and spent hours floating through the lazy river we found ourselves slowing down at the Aquamedic Pool at Thalasso Bali. Warm seawater hydrotherapy overlooking the ocean turned out to be the perfect pause between all the excitement. Some moments were loud and full of energy. Others were simple. Grand Mirage Bali reminded us that the best family holidays are often the simplest ones. Not every trip needs a packed itinerary. Sometimes all you need is a beachfront resort where the kids disappear into pools and water slides while the adults finally slow down. Our days here were filled with sailing adventures lazy river rides beach walks family dinners and countless little moments that never make it onto a travel checklist but somehow become the memories you treasure most. One evening we attended the Devdan Show and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay. Through music dance acrobatics and spectacular visual effects it takes you on a journey across Indonesia’s diverse islands and cultures. It was entertaining enough to keep the children completely engaged while also giving us a deeper appreciation of the country’s rich heritage. Few cultural shows manage to educate and entertain at the same time but Devdan does exactly that. The best part of our stay was simple. For a few days nobody was in a hurry. The kids were busy.
