This morning at #SothebysNewYork, the room erupted into applause as seven online, phone and in-person bidders battled over 10 minutes for a final hammer price of over $50.1 million. Excavated in Harding County, South Dakota, the 67-million-year-old specimen took five years in the making and is officially the largest and most complete T. Rex sold.
