As requested, here is a magical trio of: Drumming snipe and crexing Corncrake, complimented by the beautiful melodies of several skylark. I lay down in the twilight and thought about how lucky I was to be there alone listening to this. It was cold, but calm and just so pure.

This blew me away today: a singing cow gate! Geophony (strong wind) meets antrophony (cow gate), with a sprinkle of biophony (passing jackdaws and a late bumblebee!). I was taken aback at how musical this sounded as the wind flowed through the nooks & crannies. Just beautiful

Visiting family in Catalunya. I've been in the Holm Oak/Eurosiberian forests of the north, of late. Vast stretches cloaking the hills as far as the eye can see. Zero road noise. Teeming with wildlife. Here is a dawn chorus with a drumming Great Spotted Woodpecker + guests.

I can't believe I find myself in the position to share this with you, but here is what I believe to be the first Irish sound recording of a Golden Eagle! It begins with a husky chattering from an angry Peregrine which was warding it off, & the eagle sounds like a yappy terrier!
