Maybe the largest box I wanted to see checked was could Taylor hang with Hines. He basically matched all of Hines minutes in the 2nd half and held up pretty well. You can see the outline of a really talented big here. I’d jump in with both feet and let him figure it out in November/December so he’s ready by January.

4 ⭐️ Jadyn Jenkins pops to MSU. Extremely lengthy rim protector who fits into rim runner/finisher category. Jumper has the potential to develop into a weapon. Needs to add strength/mass to his frame over the next year to be day one impact ready but is a nice piece to add to the frontcourt long term.

AJ Pemberton averaged 23.9 PPG, 4.4 APG, and 2.8 RPG this summer on the Adidas circuit. Ball on a string, shifty lead guard whose change of gears and effortless jumper makes him one of the best shot creators in the 27’ class. Pure bucket getter. Go Green!

6’10” SO Aiden Sherrell averaged 11.1 PPG, 6.2 RPG and 2.2 BPG on 53.9/33.8/71.3 splits last szn 24 MPG. Strong PNP and PNR scorer with + wingspan. S&C a big swing factor for his continued growth but tangible upside. MSU is expected to be in heavy pursuit

Grinding back the film and was pretty impressed with how far along Ethan Taylor is already defensively. He has GREAT hands on the glass, moves effortlessly for a 7 footer, offers true rim protection and has the physical tools (and more importantly the IQ/instincts) to legitimately anchor a defense. Clearly room for growth but he’s ahead of schedule. Arguably MSU’s largest swing piece to firmly place themselves in the national championship contending tier.

LFGGGGGGGGG!!!!! My superstar was better than your superstar. What a grindy, gutsy, high level game. Fears was special down the stretch. 26 and 15 is an insane stat line. Go GREEEN!!!!!

Carlos Medlock Jr showed off the whole bag last night at the Jordan Brand Classic. Quick hands defensively, burst in the open court, shot creation off the bounce, and came up clutch late getting the steal and assist to seal the game. Gonna be a dawg in the Green and White 😤

7’2” 265LB Samet Yigitoglu averaged 10.4 PPG, 7 RPG, 1.2 BPG on 58.3/.167/53.1 splits over two years at SMU. Offensively a force at the rim finishing 71% of his 178 attempts (65% assisted) last year. Would be an elite middle PNR combo with Fears.

7’2” Anton Bonke commits Flashes of offensive upside as a PNR lob and ORB put-back threat. Form on his 3PT/FT shot are relatively smooth and are large swing skills for his growth. Some low block post acumen. S&C huge factor to become a better floor runner/finisher around the rim

MSU falls short after a first 10 stinker that placed them fighting for their lives early in the first half. Proud of the SRs and re-established culture. Retain Fears & Carr. The needed shot creators are coming. Portal a starting caliber C. Go Green to the day we die 🫡

This play was after the back to back to back Carr dunks. Scott just gets over the rim for what I believe is his first career in game yam in college and Cam Ward and the rest of the bench rush out to hype him up. This is the good stuff man.

MSU completes the 3-0 home sweep on the back of an efficient 23-4-10 from Fears and 16-10 from Kohler. D continued to be suffocating until the offense got going. Scott/Teng’s perimeter shotmaking was desperately needed to shake the lid loose and Spartans roll out to the W Coast.

I’m sad. Great push in the second half and ran out of steam. Can’t spot a top 5 team 16 PTS and expect to win even at home. Jeremy planted his flag time for the rest of the team to follow. Room to grow still. Go Green!

This man looks like he dipped himself in the fountain of youth. He’s entering his FOURTH decade as HC at Michigan State. Look around at how college athletics have changed the last few years, there will NEVER be another one like him again. Hope he gets ONE more for good measure.

6’6” 210 forward Kaleb Glenn commits to MSU. 2 yrs of eligibility left. Shot 41% from deep on 117 3FGA (47% L wing 44% R wing). +Athlete, physical finisher (68%), great C&S option, elite transition scorer/cutter. Tweener forward who checks a lot of boxes for how MSU plays 😤

Finally finished the rewatch of the IL game. Most complete team win against a REAL opponent all yr. Great DEF game plan against Wagler (Scott 🔥), timely rebounding (Jax 😤), clutch shot making, & superstar moments from Fears. Need to back it up tonight on the road. Go GREEN!!!

Finally got to the rewatch and the unsung hero was Jordan Scott. Ended up as the majority primary defender on the leagues leading scorer in Wilkerson and gave up a single 3PTer while checking him. Team high +24, 11 PTS, 3/4 from deep (now 9/18 in B1G play) 2 STLs, 2 forced TOVs.
