🔥NEW D1 Baseball Scholarship & Roster Impact 🔥 5 Predictions - Andrew Beinbrink 1. Only a small % of D1’s will provide the max 34 scholarships. Majority of the 300 D1 baseball programs won’t offer more than the 11.7 and many that are not fully funded will stay with the # they provide right now 2. The Portal will become even more competitive for “College Free Agency” and potentially larger numbers next year (this year was over 5,000 of which 75%+ where D1!) 3. Smaller Rosters Size from 40 to 34 max will impact most HS players trying to go Power Conference D1 even more than now. 4. D2, D3, JC and NAIA baseball will get even better and provide players a proving ground if they want to transfer after finding success. 5. College baseball coaches will rely on their network of club coaches, scouts, agents, and recruiting advisors even more to help get the right type of player & Family for their program. Coaches are already spread thin with all of their current responsibilities.
