The more I watch Tarris Reed Jr, the more I realize Spurs didn't just draft a player. They drafted a solution. One of our biggest weaknesses over the last few seasons wasn't talent, it was having another physical presence who embraces the dirty work. - Rebounding. - Setting bone crushing screens. - Protecting the paint. - Winning 50/50 balls. Doing the things that never make the highlight reel but win playoff games. That's why his integration into this team is going to be fascinating. Everybody keeps asking who should Spurs trade for? But here's the question nobody is asking what if the final piece is already wearing a Spurs jersey?
