SECRETARY RUBIO: "On Nigeria, where many were very concerned about violence against Christians, we are now actively in counterterrorism cooperation with the Nigerian government and Nigerian security forces."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "Hezbollah is not just an enemy of Israel and an enemy of America, Hezbollah is an enemy of Lebanon and of the Lebanese people."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "The President has made clear that the priority is that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "A country that cannot build ships, or produce medicine, or control immigration, or access vital resources cannot defend its people, cannot defend its interests, and cannot defend its way of life."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "The number of puppet shows and all these other stupid things that we're spending money on is going to be zero."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "There is no Iranian navy, it lies at the bottom of the ocean, and will soon, within a number of years, be prime fishing spots because they'll turn into reefs."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "This is not about denying or being punitive towards the world, this is about delivering aid, but delivering it in a more effective, concise, and consolidated way."

PRESIDENT TRUMP: It looks like Iran wants to just make a deal. Their economy is in free fall. They have 250% inflation. Their money has no value. Their whole economic system is broken down.

PRESS SEC: It’s quite sad that NATO turned their backs on the American people over the last six weeks when it’s the American people who have been funding their defense. President Trump looks forward to having a very frank and candid conversation with Secretary Rutte.

SECRETARY RUBIO: Our desire is not to hurt the people of Iran. Frankly, we wish the voices of the people of Iran were heard as opposed to having 40,000 of them murdered in the streets, inside of hospitals, and executed on a routine basis. They are victims of that regime.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: Secretary Marco Rubio said it better than anyone: you can’t let Iran have a nuclear weapon. They would use it instantly.

SECRETARY RUBIO: Iran will never possess a nuclear weapon, certainly not as long as Donald Trump is President of the United States.

SECRETARY RUBIO: President Trump raised the issue of Iran with China and it was important. The Chinese side said they are not in favor of militarizing the Strait of Hormuz and are not in favor of a tolling system, and that's our position.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: Iran isn’t coming through with the kind of deal that we need to have. We’re going to get this thing done properly. We’re not going to leave early and then have the problem arise in 3 years.

SECRETARY RUBIO: "It's complex. This has been going on since O.J. had Isotoners."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "This is a weird rule, where you ask a question and I can't answer?"

SECRETARY RUBIO: Cuba is actually not controlled by the government. Cuba is controlled by a military holding company named GAESA. GAESA owns virtually everything, and not a penny of that money translates over to the public treasury.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: The Strait is going to be open to everybody. It’s international waters. We’ll watch over it, but nobody’s going to control it. Oman will behave like everybody else or we’ll have to blow them up. They understand that.

SECRETARY RUBIO: "Mass migration is a national security threat to any country that experiences it."

SECRETARY RUBIO: Venezuela's oil wealth is no longer being stolen, it's going directly to pay government workers, buy medical equipment, and is being audited. That's a significant advance.

SECRETARY RUBIO: "Our foreign policy is one that's solely focused on the national interests of the United States of America."

For nearly 7 years there have been no direct commercial flights between the U.S. and Venezuela. Under President Trump we're changing that today. Flights between Miami and Caracas restored.

SECRETARY RUBIO: The straits have to be open. What’s happening there is illegal. It’s unsustainable for the world and it’s unacceptable.

SECRETARY RUBIO: "One of the things you'll find pretty consistently in every totalitarian system is that they want to control the ability of their citizens to communicate with one another."

SECRETARY RUBIO: Cuba is a failed state.

SECRETARY RUBIO: We’re asking the UN to call on Iran to stop blowing up ships, remove the mines, and allow humanitarian relief. If the international community can’t rally behind this and solve something so straightforward, then I don’t know what the utility of the UN system is.

SECRETARY RUBIO: "I have always believed the best foreign assistance programs are the ones that end. They end because the country that you're helping no longer needs it."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "Many times, USAID was operating in contravention and contradiction to what the embassy was trying to accomplish in the host country."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "5 months ago, we did the single largest sale to Taiwan in history at $11 billion."

PRESIDENT TRUMP: We have a lot of people in Cuba. We have the CIA there. Secretary Marco Rubio is from there, so we have a lot of expertise. We’re going to help the Cuban people out. We’re freeing up Cuba.

SECRETARY RUBIO: Iran would rather invest in the rapists and murderers of Hamas than their own people. The BBC and these other media outlets should be covering how evil these people are in Iran and the damage they’ve done to people all over the world.

SECRETARY RUBIO: "If there are such tragic cases happening, and I'm sure there are around the world, it's not because we're not spending enough money. It's because the rest of the world is not spending enough money."

SECRETARY RUBIO: "We now have in this hemisphere, a coalition of friendly countries, over a dozen, who have aligned to work on not just the issues of security that we all have in common, but also economic prosperity that goes hand in hand."
