After my 2022 year I decided not to retire from professional running. But first I wanted to add to our family. Some say you can’t do both but I say we mothers can. Able to run a 200 at 5 min pace (my 10k PB) at 27 weeks pregnant, and envisioning a bright future for the comeback.

For our youth in the sport: In HS I ran 30 miles/week, 4:58 mile PR. In college ran 50-70 miles/week, 5th at NCAA 10k 33:27. As a pro 80-110 miles, won 3 US titles, 2 world cross teams, had 3 kids, 31:24 for 10k, 2:27 marathon. Patience, good role models, and healthy body image.

Had the honor of pacing the women’s OTQ standard 2:37 chase at CIM yesterday. Over 70 women in the pack at one point including my Tracksmith STAMATA women’s team and fan favorite Courtney Dauwalter. What a day it was!
