The Jets are better this year, which makes these days significantly more frustrating. Another extremely winnable game that was lost.

There’s obviously no changing the first four months of this season, but it’s been fun watching this team come together over the last couple of weeks. Plenty of teams crater after a sell-off, but for whatever reason, it seems to have galvanized this group. They’re 8-3 in their last 11 and playing by far their best baseball of the season.

From this angle, Robert’s walk-off is even more impressive. Almost looks like he barely swung. To drive it out in those conditions too? That’s serious raw power.

A clip from last night's report on pitch counts & why they're not actually protecting pro pitchers. When everything's about chasing velo & throwing max effort, the ligaments can't hold. A great analogy that I got from Glenn Fleisig comparing ligaments & tendons to rubber bands:

Looked like another missed chance with the bases loaded and less than two outs. Then Semien’s grounder slips under Vivas’ glove and everything changes. Seven in the inning, capped by Soto’s blast. Maybe that’s the exhale this team needed. Time will tell.
