Being a proud Alumnus & the Ambassador of Panjab University, Chandigarh, I stand in heartfelt solidarity with the students who continue their peaceful movement for the timely announcement of the Senate elections. It is indeed encouraging that the Ministry of Education has accepted the demand to retain the existing Senate structure. The next natural step, however, is to ensure that the elections are held without further delay, so that this democratic body may function with full legitimacy and participation. Let us reflect the democratic values and vibrant spirit that define our University. Our campus has always been a home to unanimity, harmony, and rich cultural values.
