Update from Bengaluru: Late night protest by left organizations at town hall. I happened to be around :) Protest is not allowed at town hall. Even when we take permission and protest at freedom park, the minute we step out - police detain us and take us to police station. The law must apply equally. As opposition party, we would be more than happy to protest anywhere in bengaluru without police picking us up. In this case, the police did not even know of a protest happening until I called 112. And they were dispersed without any detention. Please no hateful comments. Let’s keep it civil.
