Appreciate the swift response and the on-ground cleaning work shown in the video. Credit to the Punjab Government and the administration for acting on this. However, such clean-ups, while commendable, are temporary fixes. Without a permanent policy framework, the canal reverts into a ganda naala again. The real solution lies in policy and enforcement ensuring untreated sewage is not discharged into canals. I urge the Punjab Government Maryam Nawaz Sharif to initiate a concrete policy framework, set timelines, and ensure implementation so this commendable work translates into lasting change.

For 3 years my mother waited in anguish, not knowing if he will walk in alive or a casket will be brought in. But my brother fought the odds and even cheated death to turn back from the last frontier and return home. But little did we know that his journey of resilience and defiance was just beginning. 3 years of captivity and torment failed to silence him or rob him of his ideals and Ali Haider Gilani rose to champion the cause of democracy and freedom. He rose to inspire a generation to stand for their right come what may and to never let go of hope. Today, we are not only celebrating my brothers journey but are celebrating the spirit of resilance and hope that he embodies.
