There seems to be two roadblocks in a potential trade involving J.J. McCarthy, which Alec Lewis maps out in detail. 1) Most of the NFL, as of right now, views McCarthy as a QB3 and not even a backup. His $5.5M of guaranteed money for QB3 is to high and turning teams off. 2) The polarizing views of McCarthy. Listening to Vikings RB Aaron Jones pressor, it's pretty clear they're "dumbing down" the entire offense because J.J. McCarthy can't comprehend/execute it. Jones letting the world now they're not dumbing it down because of him and it takes acute thought and navigation from him to come up with words so that he's not throwing McCarthy under the bus 😂 "To me it's not complicated. You need to see the improvement quickly. The doginess. The violence. All of that stuff from a down to down, snap to snap basis.
