"What a privilege to be tired from work you once begged the universe for." This quote sums up the gratitude I've been feeling to be working on Weepstone. I've honestly never worked harder in my life and I've had many days I'm stretching the stamina bar to 150%, but I truly believe that it doesn't get better than this. I decided I wanted to make games at age 8, banging out a BBS door in BASIC on my Commodore 64C. To be doing it now full time is a dream come true. (Quote credit: I believe Aryan Sachdeva said this)

I’m still here! Just now realizing I haven’t posted for a month 😅 Getting a lot done though: ✅ Spell System ✅ Leveling Up ✅ Resting in safe rooms ✅ The Handbook of Players ✅ Weepstone Town planned out ✅ Lots of art! Lots of content! It’s so hard to keep all the plates spinning (coding, art coordination, social posts, planning) but I’m still here and working hard. So here’s a new room. Wonder what it's for...?

"Wind howls around you in this cavernous stairway. The stones glisten faintly in the torchlight, slick from exposure to seasonal rains." ⚔️Wishlist The Secret of Weepstone on Steam⚔️

Is there such a thing as delving too deep…? I don’t think there is. I mean, what could go wrong!? I know I don’t post much. I’m not great on social media, and deciding what to post, and then actually posting it, is the hardest part of game dev for me. But, I know it’s important, and today, I did it, so huzzah! Here’s a sneak peak of something coming for you. It’s killing me to hold back most of the content back, I just don’t want to spoil anything. =-=The Secret of Weepstone=-= Enemy art by Kennon James, animated by Vitor Salvi.

I’ve been messing with adding some subtle tinting options to Graphics Settings for players that don’t like playing in straight black & white (or just can’t due to eye sensitivity). Which variant works best? ⚔️The Secret of Weepstone⚔️

"This small room fills the party with a gentle feeling of warmth and comfort. A cot, a desk and a few personal effects are all that remain of the now-gone [spoiler]. Their body rests in a peaceful repose." ⚔️ Wishlist The Secret of Weepstone ⚔️ Link in thread below...

Updated overland map for The Secret of Weepstone! The lands of Talesworth stretch far beyond the village where our story begins. While only some of these places are available in the (first) game, the world was built with a deep lore and detailed history. Art by Manolis Karavidas

PAX EAST is soon upon us! Next week, March 26-29, I’ll be at PAX EAST, setup at the DreadXP booth (#13109 near Pax Rising). If you’re there, stop by and talk to me about your best B/X gaming memories, your favorite old school CRPGs, and why the Dark Crystal is the best movie of the early 80s. 🏰The Secret of Weepstone🏰

In Weepstone, quite a bit of XP will actually come from finding treasure. To score them, you will need to place them safely in a Trophy Case (WIP). ⚔️The Secret of Weepstone⚔️

There are places around Weepstone that have been sealed off from the world for too many years. What secrets do they hold? And what about the horrors that guard them? Development continues in earnest! Many more spells integrated, new environments to explore, monsters to slay and NPCs to also slay (because you know you’re all a bunch of murder hobos 💀).

Finally had a chance to add in d8's, d10's and d12's. And speaking of d12s, I've always loved the roll of a dodecahedron, easily my favorite die. I need to create more opportunities to use them. Game link below 👇

Adding in unlockable Dice Sets and just had to include the OG dice that came with the Basic box. The only problem, they didn’t include a d10, so I’m not sure what color to choose for this one. I’m open to suggestions. Also seen, Ruby Dreams and soon to come, recreating my personal favorite dice, translucent aqua. +=+ The Secret of Weepstone +=+

I do love rolling dice. Doesn’t matter the TTRPG, tell me there’s dice rolling and I’m there. Even the sight of a d20 simply brings a smile to my face. Wishlist The Secret of Weepstone on Steam, link in bio. Ironbelly art by Tom Galmacci

Weepstone's doomsayer Dalton Cockburns wanders the streets, somewhat mad, wearing his shoddy “The End Is Near” sign. It’s only fitting that he starts the game wearing it (AC 1). 🐦‍⬛The Secret of Weepstone🐦‍⬛
