The video below captures the violent Mashurugwi gathered at the burial of one of their leaders, “Brown,” who was murdered in Kadoma. Armed with knives and axes—even at a funeral—this is a clear reflection of the lawlessness that has taken root. You cannot separate President of Zimbabwe and ZANU PF from this kind of disorder. These gangs operate with impunity, terrorising communities, invading artisanal mining sites, looting gold from peaceful miners, and enforcing control through violence. Their actions are not random—they are systematic and protected. The same gold extracted through brutality is allegedly funneled into networks linked to politically connected individuals, including Scott Sakupwanya’s Betterbrands. This is not just criminality—it is organised exploitation thriving under political cover. When a country reaches a point where armed gangs openly display violence at funerals without fear, it signals a complete breakdown of governance, accountability, and rule of law. This is exactly why the proposed #CAB3 Constitutional Amendment must be rejected. As Cde Faith Chananda (Comrade Vera) bravely narrates, the heroes who shed blood for this country are now reduced to beggars—handed bicycles, rotten food hampers, and empty slogans in the name of “empowerment.” Meanwhile, Mnangagwa and his Zvigananda cartel loot billions, buy loyalty with cars and cash, and sow division to keep their corrupt grip on power. Let us be clear: Mnangagwa is not a liberator. He is a corrupt rogue, a national disgrace who spits on the sacrifices of the fallen. The 45-year craft of ZANU-PF has never changed: subduing citizens through engineered poverty, political violence, induced fear, weaponised policing, captured courts, and relentless economic hardship. Mnangagwa and ZANU-PF have perfected the strategy of keeping people hungry, desperate, and exhausted — because a starving, frightened population is the easiest to control. When survival becomes the only priority, morals collapse, dignity erodes, and even the strongest citizens are cornered into rejoining or aligning with the very system that is destroying them. That is the true architecture of Zimbabwe’s suffering — not misfortune, not sanctions, but deliberate political engineering. The explosion of 4ED affiliates is not a sign of progress or confidence in Mnangagwa. It is the clearest evidence of national desperation. These groups are not born out of hope — they are born out of hunger. They reflect a society where citizens play to ZANU-PF’s script just to survive, where praise becomes a currency of survival in an economy where real opportunity no longer exists. And this same manufactured desperation has produced a wave of opportunists within opposition ranks — some openly defecting, others quietly capitulating, all helping to legitimise and strengthen ZANU-PF’s imposed 2030 agenda. This is not politics; it is survival theatre. A grotesque cycle where a ruling party creates the crisis, feeds on the crisis, then uses the crisis to force loyalty. How Can Tagwirei Preach About Tender Opportunities While Holding a Monopoly on Them? It is the height of hypocrisy for Kudakwashe Tagwirei to advocate for Zimbabweans to enter the government tender business, when he—through proximity to Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa—has monopolized access to all major tenders. In Zimbabwe, tenders are no longer instruments of public procurement aimed at creating equal economic opportunities. Instead, they have become vehicles for corruption, nepotism, and elite capture. At the centre of this cartel is President Mnangagwa himself, who has enabled a small group of business cronies to loot state coffers through inflated and often dubious contracts. Let us be clear: in Zimbabwe, tenderpreneurship is not a path open to all. A tenderpreneur, by definition, is someone who profits from government tenders—often through political connections rather than competitive merit. Our local version of tenderpreneurship has become synonymous with corruption, not entrepreneurship. Individuals like Tagwirei, Wicknell Chivayo, Delish Nguwaya, and Paul Tungwarara have secured their empires not through innovation or hard work, but through systemic corruption, cronyism, and bribery. These elites have institutionalized corruption by providing kickbacks to government officials—lavish cars, cash handouts, and luxury properties—in exchange for continuous tender awards. How, then, can Tagwirei claim to promote inclusive economic participation when the playing field is so blatantly tilted in his favour and that of his fellow Zviganandas? In an open and functioning economy, tenders are competitive and transparent, and opportunities are available to all citizens based on merit. In Zimbabwe, however, the system is polluted—captured by a corrupt elite that has weaponized state resources for personal gain. Until the government dismantles this cartel and restores transparency and fairness in public procurement, talk of tender opportunities for ordinary Zimbabweans is nothing more than a cruel joke.
