Watch the upper right corner to see a confirmed tornado by the National Weather Service . Nobody was injured, but the storm severely impacted parts of St. Johns County. Beware of downed trees and power lines. The National Weather Service is investigating.

SJSO Deputies have made another super speed arrest. This time, a Chevrolet Corvette was stopped for traveling 130 mph in a posted 45-mph zone on CR13 N in the area of Joe Ashton Road. The driver was arrested for Dangerous Excessive Speeding and transported to the St. Johns County Jail. Under 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝘄 (𝗙𝗦𝗦 𝟯𝟭𝟲.𝟭𝟵𝟮𝟮), it is a criminal offense when a driver: 🚨Exceeds the speed limit by 50+ mph 🚨Drives 100+ mph or more in a manner that threatens the safety of other persons or property or interferes with the operation of any vehicle. #TeamSJSO is holding offenders accountable: 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚: Up to 30 days in jail, a fine of $500, or both 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙨: Up to 90 days in jail, a fine of $1,000, or both A person convicted of two or more Dangerous Excessive Speeding violations within five years may have their driving privilege revoked for at least 180 days.
